In this route we will approach the Sierra de Lokiz. To avoid getting too much mileage, we opted to go to Ancín by the shortest route, but not the ugliest, and the return from Igúzquiza we did it by the same route as the outward journey. Until Ancín we will ride through a favorable terrain, where there will be plenty of tracks and roads but with some small trails. The ascent to Lokiz is made by a spectacular path at the bottom of the Barranco de Lazagorria surrounded by lush vegetation.
We pass close to the Ermita de San Antón and continue ascending, this time along the typical rocky path of this mountain range, until we reach the lowlands and begin the descent to the Ermita de Santiago. This point represents the beginning of the real descent, first on a very fun trail and then on a wide path.
Don’t miss the views after the trail, it’s worth a stop. The return from Ollogoyen is done alternating all types of terrain with a predominance of trails.
